This Viva originally started life as a white SL with black interior. I don't actually know
what happened to it until 1995 when I bought it, although the car had gone through different stages
of being customised in the past. It had been painted GT style twice at least
along the way and that's how it came to me. It appeared to be in good condition although
just one English winter was enough to see it off.
This Viva had obviously been messed with, featuring extra gauges, a 1256cc
engine and plastic single core (AARGH!) radiator. Also fitted were some Skoda alloys
which didn't look too bad apart from the fact that they were mounted on 30mm spacers.
The gearbox failed so I replaced that and also the engine at the same time with one
I rebuilt myself. This helped matters although by this time (summer '96) the body was deemed
pretty bad so the cheapest thing to do was to buy another car.
